How we rank clinics

The published method behind every clinic score on Rhinoplasty.al: the license gate, six weighted criteria, data sources and the right of reply.

Every clinic is assessed the same way. The method is published so you can check our reasoning and disagree with it.

Before the audit: listed clinics

A clinic that offers rhinoplasty appears as Not yet audited before its audit is complete. Its profile shows only what the clinic publishes about itself and dated ratings from other platforms, each linked to the source. It has no score and no rank.

Step 1: License check

We confirm with official Albanian sources that the clinic is licensed to perform surgery and that each named surgeon is registered and holds the specialty they claim. A clinic we cannot confirm is shown as Not ranked, whatever its other results. Each profile shows the date of the check and the source.

Step 2: Six weighted criteria

CriterionWeightWhat we look at
Surgeon credentials and specialization25%Specialty (plastic surgery or ENT), training, how often the surgeon performs rhinoplasty, revision experience
Facility, anesthesia and emergency capability20%Hospital or day clinic, anesthetist present, overnight care, transfer arrangements for emergencies
Price transparency15%Written, itemised quote; what is included; how deposits and refunds work
Aftercare and revision policy15%Follow-up visits, remote follow-up after you return home, written revision terms
Patient evidence15%Verified reviews across platforms, before and after photos with consent and consistent lighting
International patient service10%Languages spoken by the medical team, coordination, written information in your language

Each criterion is scored from 0 to 100. The total is the weighted sum. When two clinics tie, the one verified more recently ranks first.

Step 3: Price survey

We request written quotes in English and Italian for the same standard cases and collect invoices that patients share with us. A profile shows the price range, where it came from and when it was collected.

Step 4: Right of reply

Before a profile is published, the clinic receives its findings and has 14 days to correct facts or reply. Corrections are made when the clinic sends evidence; replies are printed on the profile.

What does not affect a score

  • Whether the clinic pays us a referral fee. Paying clinics are labelled Partner. Advertiser disclosure
  • Advertising, sponsorship or gifts. We accept none.
  • Review counts alone. A clinic with fewer, verified reviews can score higher than one with many unverified ones.

Updates

Licenses and surgeon details are re-checked every quarter and prices once a year. Each profile shows the date its data was last verified. Changes to this method are dated on this page.
