Is rhinoplasty in Albania safe?

Safety depends on the clinic and the surgeon more than on the country. Albania has no public online register of doctors, so these checks are yours to make before you book.

  1. Ask the surgeon for the Order of Physicians licence number and specialist diploma, and request written confirmation from the Order.
  2. Check the clinic’s health licence in the QKB business register: surgery under general anaesthesia belongs in a hospital or day-hospital licence.
  3. For a visiting surgeon, check the home register too (in Italy, the FNOMCeO Albo).
  4. Get an itemised written quote that names the operating surgeon, the anaesthetist and the follow-up plan.

How a clinic earns its score

Every clinic must pass a license check first. Then six criteria, weighted by how much each one matters to your safety and your result.

Questions patients ask

How much does a nose job cost in Albania?

Published prices for primary rhinoplasty in Tirana mostly fall between €2,000 and €4,500. Septorhinoplasty is published at €3,200–4,200 and revision at €3,800–5,500 by one hospital. Hotel, flights and follow-up at home are usually extra.

Is rhinoplasty cheaper in Albania than in Turkey or Italy?

Published Albanian prices (€2,000–4,500) are lower than Italian press estimates (€3,000–10,000) and overlap with Turkish hospital prices (€3,650–5,600). Sources differ in scope and date, so compare itemised quotes rather than headline prices.

Where are the rhinoplasty clinics in Albania?

Every clinic we found offering rhinoplasty is in or near Tirana, including two private hospitals on the Tirana–Durrës road. We list each one with what it publishes about its surgeons, techniques and prices.

How do I check that a surgeon in Albania is licensed?

There is no public online register of doctors. Ask for the surgeon's Order of Physicians licence number and specialist diploma, request written confirmation from the Order, and check the clinic's licence in the QKB register.

How long do I need to stay in Albania after rhinoplasty?

Plan for 7 to 14 days. The splint usually comes off after one to two weeks, and general guidance is to wait 7 to 10 days before flying after facial surgery. Your operating surgeon decides when you can leave.

When will I see the final result?

Most swelling settles within two to three months, but the final shape, especially of the tip, can take up to a year.

Do surgeons in Albania speak English or Italian?

Several Tirana clinics list English- and Italian-speaking surgeons and coordinators, and some work with visiting Italian or Turkish surgeons. Ask who will operate and which language they will use at your consultation.

Do clinics pay to be listed on Rhinoplasty.al?

No clinic pays to be listed. Some may pay a referral fee for consultation requests; they are labelled Partner and the fee never changes a score.

Not a clinic. Not a booking agent.

We do not operate, and we do not push you to book. We check, compare and publish what we find, in English, Italian and Albanian.
